"My wife, my 15-year-old daughter, and I spent a week at Serenade in the Dominican Republic. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
The Luxury Suite was the highlight of the trip. At nearly 1,100 square feet, it felt spacious and comfortable, with two full bathrooms and a large balcony, which made a big difference during our stay.
The beach was the second best aspect of the resort. It is fairly large, quiet, and well equipped with plenty of lounge chairs, making it easy to relax without feeling crowded.
In terms of layout, the resort amenities are somewhat limited. The property is essentially organized in a U-shape around multiple pools, which makes the pools the central focus of the resort experience.
Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing overall. The Italian restaurant and the Steakhouse were the best dining options. The Sushi and Mediterranean restaurants were below expectations, although the Mediterranean venue did serve excellent grilled squid.
All in all, it was a pleasant trip to the Dominican Republic, with the suite and the beach being the standout features of the stay."
