"Everything was great except for the fact that I couldn’t locate the thermostat in the room. It was set really low so my room was pretty cold the two days I was there. Where is the thermostat located??"

"It seems as if the facility is aged and the hotel is in the process of renovating. It would have been nice to be aware of this. I walked into a nice entrance and bar/lounge area, and then entered a room that looked aged and poorly kept."

"No running water on our first day from 10am-3pm due to water damage from pipe bursting and that night we had mice running around in our room. The hotel smelled moldy and the pool looked cloudy. I didn’t want to risk swimming in it. No room service even though it was offered online. The restaurant had 1 waiter and he refused to wait on us because he said he was the only one and told us to go to the bar. I would not recommend this hotel until things are fixed."

"so I stayed there before it seemed like my room was a little random. The mirror was really scratched up. My fridge was kind of ran down. It looks like it needs some upgrading is usually I love the aloft, but maybe I got a bad this time."

"The rooms were not clean. The first room we were given was “clean”, we pulled out the pull out couch and there was used tissues and used q-tip on the bed. The sink had dirty dishes and the counter was dirty. The room we ended up with had stains all over the carpet, stains all over the bath tub and was surface cleaned. Would not recommend staying here."

"We booked here so we could use the free shuttle to the airport and leave our car there. The self-park car on the website says $12.50, however, with taxes & fees, it was about $15.50. So the website should state that. The shuttle service was OK, however, on our return we called as instructed, and for 5 minutes we got a repeating recording before anyone answered the phone. "The Gables is a magnificent 19th century building. The owners have done a great job of decorating and restoring to reflect the period of the home. My wife has dietary restrictions, and the staff fully accommodated her. Breakfast is served at eight, but Cesar gladly fed us at 6:30 so we could catch a flight. The grounds are beautiful, with a wraparound porch. Off street parking is available. Location is excellent, with a trolley stop right in front of the house. Good restaurant selection within...

"My room was a dream. I slept so well and so soundly. The building is lovely and the location is very convenient, with minimal neighborhood noise. I had a great stay and absolutely would do so again in the future!"
