"The restaurant is very good. The quality and taste is outstanding. Reserve the room with breakfast and it will be worth it. As for my room, the bathroom could use some remodeling because some of the grout has come off or has black mold. The closet doors also do not close properly. Staff were hospitable and very kind. "

The Melville isn't exactly a "castle," more of a retired/repurposed palace, but the overall experience was what we were looking for - suits of armor, antique paintings and so on. The restaurant is awesome! Great dishes and service! Staff was very helpful. Rooms mixed ancient decor with modern amenties like ample power outlets, modern bathroom, etc. Grounds have many paths for nature walks. Was a nice experience!"
