"We had an absolutely excellent stay. The food was outstanding, every meal was beautifully prepared. The staff could not do enough for us throughout our visit; they were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely looked after from start to finish. "Excellent room, we had an executive suite and the view was marvellous as was the huge four poster bed. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we've had, proper cumberland sausages - what can I say!. Staff were also excellent especially Joanne the manager who went above and beyond to make our 4 night stay very enjoyable. We had 2 meals in the hotel pub and again the food was of a very high standard, one meal was a sunday roast which I found absolutely superb. Will definitely stay here...

"Firstly checked in to find previous guests clothes in wardrobe, then the spa bath didn't work even though we were supposed to have been upgraded , then there was about 6 months dust on top of four poster bed ,the bed was broken and only fixed by a 3mm screw ( dangerous) . Was moved to a twin room for 1 night then put in superior room only to find someone's tablet under the bed runner which should of been clean linen clearly not . Put in a complaint to manager and hasn't even had the decency to...

"Our hotel room was a bit dated and was far too hot with no way of cooling it down. There was also no fridge. The food was fine, although there were a lot of prepacked foods used (such as pancakes at breakfast, bean burger at dinner). We also ordered packed lunches for our hike and they were quite basic for the £17.50 they cost and they were also quite squashed when they were given to us (the banana was a bit mouldy too as well as being very bruised). The pool was amazing and we all loved it...
