"The room was lovely and the ocean view was a lovely touch. The room was clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and quick to reply. Feedback: breakfast took far too long (over and hour) despite the cafe not seeming busy. The lack of lifts didn’t make it easy for disabled people."

"I’d read bad reviews after booking so I was very worried. But we got a basic, decent chalet in a good location. It was quiet and safe. It needs a deep clean, mould on curtains, and cobwebs everywhere, but everything else was very clean. It was fine for the price we paid. Sykes cottages manage this chalet, but it’s Atlantic Bays reception, and they won’t know anything about your booking. "Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired."

"I checked into my room to find there were no towels so had to go to reception to tell them. The room was in need of a good clean with dirty marks on walls and doors.Also the door didn’t seem very secure when locked so didn’t sleep well as every sound from outside my room I worried someone might’ve come in. Not a very pleasant experience "

"We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations. No pool/spa/gym/food. Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it. 2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place. Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs. For what was a basic room...

"Beautiful view. Would have liked a mini fridge. Newquay just so-so but my view of the harbor made up for it. If I remember, it said to sit on your balcony and eat breakfast but their restaurant doesn’t serve breakfast, so that comment should be removed. I would recommend."
