"Hotel reception wasn’t well signed. Rooms were clean, but corridors were quite dirty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Main restaurant wasn’t available so had to eat in a stark feeling cafe area which wasn’t so nice. The staff were very accommodating regarding allergy issues. The steak wasn’t very good. Breakfast in the restaurant area was nice. Again staff were attentive."

"Have stayed before but this time we had a two bedroom apartment. As with our previous stays, the apartment was comfortable, warm, well equipped. Yes a bit worn in places. "This hotel is full of character, but the fittings, bathroom, bed are all thoroughly modern, crisp and clean. Breakfast was great, the staff weekday and weekend were very helpful. Dinner was good - the menu extensive enough to provide options for each evening they were there. Ability to park safely onsite is always welcome. The locatio is superb. I'd say top of the grade for a 3-star property. "
