"Breakfast buffet was good. Options were very limited for dining during the day. Specialty dining was difficult to get in. You have to book 2 to 3 days in advance and few slots are offered at each booking time. The specialty dining setting was never full but the food was good. Most staff were friendly, but our check in receptionist was curt and not very friendly. The pool and lounges were nice. The bar staff was usually friendly, but very busy. It would be nice to have more entertainment available. Due to the very high winds and red flag conditions, ocean swimming was out, and little was offered as entertainment. The hot stone massage was terrific. Our room was clean, but the view was of the roof over the restaurant. Very disappointing. Overall, I would rate the experience as average. I was expecting more."

"The hotel is very nice but has some issues that are not acceptable at this price point. The rooms are clean but could use some upgrades. The bathroom had cracked tiles, sink that drained very slow, one of the sinks didn’t dispense cold water, etc. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and the ocean front views are breath taking. We did have some issues with our door not locking and unlocking upon arrival and the hotel also forgot to pick us up after one of the tours we booked through them. The food is ok. For this price we were expecting more. "
