"Breakfast service was a little chaotic due to the numbers of residents eating in one sitting, with only 3 members of staff on duty. The selection and quality of food however was very good. The staff are always busy but extremely approachable and will always help if there is an issue. The rooms are clean, a little basic but comfortable. The swimming pool is very good and a huge asset to the hotel. The hotel is ideally suited for walking into the town of Lyndhurst, just a few minutes walk away. Free parking with electric charging points available."

"The hotel and grounds were lovely, cosy lounges, comfortable rooms, food good, staff helpful and friendly. The bathroom in our room needed some attention, the bath was blocked, water took a long time to drain away. Swimming pool was cold and needed a touch up of paint. Overall we had a lovely stay and nothing was too much problem for any staff."

"Excellent all round accommodation. Warm welcome. Comfortable spotless and fresh rooms with very comfortable beds followed by a well cooked and tasty breakfast in a lovely dining room. Limited parking on site but the road alongside offered plenty of unrestricted additional parking literally outside the house entrance. Location was also on the right side of town meaning no need to negotiate the terrible one way system and constantly heavy traffic through Lyndhurst was a bonus. 5 minute walk into town where there were plenty of good eating options. Would happily stay again and recommend for a pleasant stay in Lyndhurst"

"Ample parking. Staff were helpful. Stayed in apartment one with two kids. Good value for money. Bedrooms are nice. Bathroom and kitchen are a bit tired, but practical. Has everything we needed. You do hear the road from the front double bedroom, but my kids slept fine. There is an emergency door at the double room at the back, so not recommended for kids. Otherwise it’s conveniently located for the town. An affordable way to explore the new forest."

"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. The bedroom had a radio, which was also caked in dust. I have a severe allergy to dust, which immediately caused a skin flare up. On top of all of the above, the travel cot provided was filthy on the net sides with loads of stains and yellow in colour. The room is a hazard to health. We opened the bedroom window for an hour and the smell did not budge, because it was never going to with the mould issue. Reception suggested air freshener, which is ridiculous as it would only mask the smell temporarily. I am also allergic to lots of chemicals in air fresheners. We were provided a clean cot after we informed the lack of cleanliness of the one provided. The mattress on the roll out bed was so flat, it was uncomfortable for our daughter. We are extremely disappointed with the state of the room and wasted money in fuel travelling to the hotel we didn't end up staying at. We had to pay more to stay elsewhere at such short notice. I sent feedback the next day by email with photos. No response and it's 3 days later I've put this review on."

"Ideal location for the town and the New forest. Just a walk across the road and you are in the New forest. Lots of parking available. Staff were lovely and friendly. There is a bus stop right outside in case you do not drive or wish not to drive. We did have breakfast and dinner, both of which were very good. Caters for breakfast and dinner and has a bar. Room was clean, had everything that you needed. This hotel allows dogs. There was no smell of dogs throughout the building and not one dog hair to show. I myself have dogs ,they did not come with us this time but maybe in the future. As a dog owner I do not like the smell of dog. So compliments to housekeeping and to the dog owners. I arrived in may, I could not believe that I slept under a 4.5 duvet which was nice and warm. I would recommend this hotel .Its great value for money ,great location. "

"Breakfast was a bit of a pickle. Help yourself on the bar. Hot order with waitress. Bacpn only cooked on one side - a bit odd. Coffee not good. "
