Where to begin? *Couldn't get into contact with the owner for check-in, arrival times, code to the key box or anything. Only after contacting Travelnest (the third company in charge of advertising the property) by phone on the day of check-in, I got a very short email from the owner about the check-in time (an hour later than advertised) and code for the key box. "I loved my stay at the Victoria and Source Spa hotel in Sidmouth. My first encounter with a member of staff was with the friendly and helpful Bellman who advised me on parking and helped me with my luggage from my car. Though i had arrived earlier than check-in time and my room wasn't ready, I was told I am welcome to use the hotel pool, spa and other facilities. The spa was very modern and i had a lovely couple of hours in there. Complimentary flip flops were provided as well as towels. The outdoor pool was a very nice temperature on a hot day and with the very comfirtable sun loungers I had a very pleasant time there enjoying the wonderful weather. My room (a single) was a very good size (could have had 2 people stay) and it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable with very nice bed linen and room decor. The bathroom was huge and the larye walk-in shower was fantastic. I also had a lovely view of the pool. I truly felt over the moon to stay here and hope to come back again soon. 10/10. The hotel has retaibed its sense of luxury and tradition in modern times and guest service is clearly a high priority."
