"The admiral Inn is a fairly nice Older motel. It’s two floors there’s no elevator so it’s all steps. The pool is older but fair nothing fancy there’s coffee in the lobby but no breakfast. You’re right near everything not on the beach side but just across the street and it’s a short walk to the pier, etc. I would probably give it 3 1/2 stars out of five. The location is fantastic, parking is extremely tight, wasn’t very clean, ceiling fans are completely covered in thick dust, super low water pressure in showers, zero communication regarding where and how to check (I only knew because of reviews), and there is no elevator for those who would need it. Overall, our stay was ok. Wouldn’t stay again for the price."

"The staff was very unfriendly when we entered the property at 3 pm. They said come back at 4 pm. We had our emotional support animal and had to wait in the hot sun for an hour. No decent lobby and no outdoor shading. The resort fee is $18 per person but with two pools it is not much of a resort. I think it is a hidden additional room fee. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel."

"Check in staff very friendly. Nice to have a parking spot but very difficult to find one available and enough room to park. Pool looked nice. Grounds and building need a lot of work. Very run down. Room seemed clean. Hair dry was not mounted on the wall and difficult to use it with box hanging off cord. Nice location to shops and restaurants. Need higher quality towels. Way too thin. "The non smoking room was a non smoking room which was very nice. The room is very functional and everything ya need at hand. There are some tired edges maintenance wise. But all worked but one Ice machine. The Staff were one of the best parts of the Inn. They were lovely people and very helpful. One of the interesting aspects to this Inn is that it is close or at the edges of the hub of nightlife. People walking past at all hours, especially saturday nights. So I recommend ear plugs. "Absolutely loved everything except for the light switches. There were so many light switches in the room. We didn’t know what light went to which switch. Also kind of weird to have the bathtub in the shower wasn’t really a fan. Favorite thing was watching the ships come through the river. If you can get a view of the river absolutely 100% worth it."

However, the soundproofing was a major issue — I could clearly hear conversations and even someone talking on the phone in another room. The amenities also felt worn out, with cheap towels and areas that could really use upgrades and refreshing. Overall, it has potential and charm, but in my opinion it does not meet the standard of a true 4-star hotel."
