"Staff brilliant, location good, breakfast hit and miss. This is not a hotel but a restaurant with rooms. No room safe, no reception desk However it is in a good position for the Wallace tower and museum (walkable) also very near the university. Breakfast is brought to you in a basket the night before and left outside your room. "Great location. Easy walk to train/bus. Cool medieval/castle property. Nicely furnished. Small but comfortable room. Ensuite bathroom very nice and all immaculately clean. Host/owner is very friendly. I ordered the light breakfast which was excellent in a beautiful dining room. There is also a very pretty back courtyard. I was able to store luggage for the day."

"This room was clean and tidy. The stuff was friendly. We didn’t have air fan in the room, but we requested it and it was given to as. Downstairs is a great bar and dinning place. Also if you have car you can drive to the town and take some take away or go to the shop. We liked this room. The only thing is very small tv. It’s more like a computer screen. BUT overall it was a great stay"
