"Generally the rooms are to a high standard. The breakfasts are excellent, and the staff really friendly. Easy car parking. Only quibble is that we tried to book another 2 day stay, the system didn’t allow this - wanted 3 or more: this may vary with time of year."

"Overall a lovely inviting place as you approach and the lighting etc. Pleasant staff. Havent used the facilities, spa etc. Lovely spacious rooms. Nice to have kettle, tea, coffee etc plus hairdryer, iron etc in the rooms we have been in. This is our 4th overnight visit."

"Room was not the room that I paid for. I asked for a quadruple and was given a triple but was still charged for the quadruple. "

"I really do like this place and I’ve stayed several times, the service is always good. It is somewhat of a lottery if you get comfortable room or one that could do with a spruce up in the comfort and shower amenities area."

"The hotel was under renovation and not providing any hot food only continental breakfast, as a diabetic I couldn't have the bread, yoghurt, cerials, jams or croissants. The continental breakfast were £15. We were not informed about the renovations before arrival, if we were we would have c. Cancelled. "

"Excellent staff fantastic chef food was brilliant and plenty of it. Room was very warm and cozy we would recommend it to everyone. Lovely welcome and the lady that served us breakfast was amazing made you feel very welcome. See you soon again Parking free which helped."

"It was rather too warm in my room, I did mention this to the reception , but only on check out. I did not use the Bar as I was Going into town. "

"The breakfast was superb, everything you could wish for…from toast and croissants and doughnuts to a full cooked breakfast. Our room was fantastic with a view of the mill from bedroom window, bathroom was great for me being disabled, being able to walk in to a wet room was a huge bonus, not available at most hotels."

"We were on foot from the station so very convenient. We found all the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The furnishings in our room excellent and lovely new carpets everywhere. Very supportive bed, immaculate bathroom and constant extremely hot water. Breakfast excellent with fresh looking and tasty items which we enjoyed at out table overlooking the canal. Couldn`t fault it!. "
