Be aware that building work being carried out around (and perhaps to) the hotel, Rotterdam appaeras to be never finished and building work everywhere but still a graet location"

"Chose the hotel because it was near the centre and had parking available, I found the reception staff to be polite and very helpful, room was clean and tidy, bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent, looked as if it had all been renewed recently. particularly liked the blue night light in the bathroom. Their courtesy, respect and helpfulness was always genuine. The girls were very knowledgeable about shopping and where to eat in the area and made great recommendations that helped make my trip so wonderfully complete! I would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to everyone!"

"This property provides a unique experience. It is like taking a step back in time because it was a working cruise ship once upon a time. The rooms are spacious, not like current cruise cabins. The beds are soft, not firm. The amenities in the room and bathroom are similar to what you’d find at any decent hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming from the moment you approach the property. We were greeted outside by the bell captain who helped us with our luggage and brought us aboard to the guest services area. People at the front desk are very helpful. Food in the restaurant was ok. Beef brisket should have been more tender, but meals that others had were fine. The location is close to the cruise port, which was great because we were sailing on Holland America and this hotel provides free shuttle service to the cruise terminal. This service was excellent! They took our bags right to the ship so embarkation was easy. I would definitely recommend this property. They also offer discounted tours of the ship for hotel guests. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to take advantage of this. "

"My stay was just an overnight stop - but I can recommend this hotel for having comfortable beds, good showers, nice toiletries & welcoming staff. One important thing to note, especially if you are traveling with kids, is that car parking is in the residential streets around the hotel. This is free of charge after 21:00h and before 09:00h the next day - but I arrived just before 22:00h and had to park about 0.6 mile away. The weather was fine... but, on a rainy/cold night, this wouldn't be much fun. (You can drop people & bags off before you go to find a parking space). Despite this one issue, it's a nice town and a decent hotel."
