Good hotel in central Kaohsiung

Good hotel in central Kaohsiung. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. I had room with separate toilet room with a sink, which was great. However hotel is getting too expensive for what it offers. Most rooms have no view or terrible view breakfast is underwhelming.

Great family getaway.

It was a marvelous 4-night stay. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious. Lovely restaurant and rooftop bar. Lots of nice diners nearby. They called taxi for us and it’s v close to bus stop and metro too

Hotel is conveniently located on a the Red MRT line. The Liuhue night market is also within walking distance. There are also many other night market and stores in the area. Hotel staff are friendly and courteous. Rooms are huge and very clean. Would stay here again, and would highly recommend.

The hotel was nice and clean. Staffs are attentive and friendly. Hotel is located about 25 mins to the most popular shopping area. The metro station is right next to the hotel which is pretty convenient. Plenty of eating options but probably not as much if you nearby the high speed rail station. I would stay again for the price and size of the room.

A nice hotel in an excellent location on the park. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. They were the strongest point of my experience there. The pink Barbie-esque lobby theme when we were there was a bit tacky, and the terrazzo flooring in the room was harsh during daylight hours; but the bathroom was lovely, with a fabulous big tub with a city view.

A stay that impressed the whole family! Located steps from Central Park station, a few metro stops away from the Taiwan HSR if arriving from Taipei, is Hotel Indigo. The reception foyer *felt* smaller than typical hotels, we found the lobby awkward to sit around waiting for friends as everything looked too prestigious to loiter around. The hotel was decked out with a Barbie themed setup during our stay, with the remaining hotel decor design-forward, quirky and eclectic (in a good way). Our room was really a suite - it was massive. With a fully separate living room area, 2 workstations, a walk-in closet, closed off bathroom & shower space, plus two queen beds plus walking space - the thoughtfulness of design is a fan favourite in our books. Not to mention, the bedding was SO comfortable (still the best sleep I had over our 40+ day trip). Everyone I travelled with were coffee snobs, we went for coffee around Taiwan everyday but nothing hit the spot. We aren't fans of Nespresso at home but the excitement to find a Nespresso machine in our room brewing fresh shots of espresso really hit the spot. Our stay at Hotel Indigo was wonderful - from convenience of the location itself, to friendly FOH staffing, to every detail put into the design of the rooms - our short was too short, I did not want to leave! Nonetheless, this is now our premier choice when in Kaohsiung, we can't wait to be back!

My husband and I traveled to Taiwan to see family. We stayed at the Indigo for 2 weeks in a premier room. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. There were free water bottles, snacks, tea, tea kettle, nespresso machine and plates/cups. The wi-fi signal was strong and the desk setup was comfortable for working remotely. The daily housekeeping was excellent. Towels and bathrobes were great. The room was on the third floor but was still very quiet. The automated blackout curtains were excellent. Plenty of areas to plug in devices and USB ports. Breakfast buffet was excellent with wide range of Chinese and Western breakfast options. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. They were able to assist with restaurant reservations and emergency dentist appointment. Nice rooftop bar with great views. Coffee shop in lobby area has great espresso drinks and friendly staff. The location is excellent and centrally located. The train station is right out front. Lots of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood including an alley of Japanese themed restaurants. Area was well lit, safe and walkable. Central Park was beautiful, clean and well decorated for the Christmas holiday. Ubers easily found the hotel and plenty around in the area. Rarely ever had to wait more than a couple of minutes. Walking distance to several night markets and department stores. We would definitely stay here again next time in Kaohshiung. Thank you so much for a great 2 weeks.
