The half-day backwaters boat tour was a highlight and highly recommended, and the resort grounds were lovely and quiet. The main disappointment was the Alleppey tour, as we were not told in advance that the coir factory, museum, and palace were closed on Monday, which made the long drive less worthwhile. "Beautiful location and lovely staff. The room was huge but basic and run down. Great view of the lake. Only one restaurant to eat at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was ok, breakfast not fantastic but the dosa was great. The pool is nothing like the photos. It is cloudy, dirty, full of insects and had a large number of crows bathing in it at any given time. No facilities open near pool - currently being renovated and no umbrellas. Temperature was hot and not refreshing in the heat of April....

"It is a newer hotel in the area, and the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were exceptionally courteous, attentive, and consistently provided excellent service throughout our stay. Their professionalism truly made a difference. The 3-star rating is mainly because the kitchen smell was lingering in the room corridor, which was unpleasant. Additionally, the pillows were very thick, and the hotel did not have thinner options available. This made our sleep uncomfortable and caused neck...
