We had a wonderful stay at this Taj. We extended our stay by a night. The private cottages were very comfortable and the restaurant options great. The property is designed with a lot of green spaces leading up to the lake.

We loved our two night stay. The ambience of this resort is amazing. And as usual Taj Resorts has impeccable service. All the staff was constantly smiling and ready to help. We particularly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a quiet resort that focuses on limited guests (only 28 rooms) than this is the place for you. Excellent food. Very green and within nature. Excellent service as well!

its a good retreat . just sitting in the balcony of your room overlooking the lagoon is invigorating especially in the monsoon season. staff were very helpful and curteous.

A nature retreat, great location with mainly individual cottages, loved their sunset tea and snacks and Great Lake Vembanad views. Food quality and service were excellent. A great idea for a nature retreat! Also, their arrangement for an early morning Shikara through narrow canals of backwater was superb! I wish they took care of our driver as well similar to other hotels

Fantastic location and nested in native greenery. What I liked is quietness due to occupant to property size ratio. Vila was fabulous. Antique furniture and look with modern immunities. Gracious and welcoming staff all over the property.

The setting is magical, and perfect for our smaller kids with activities and a kid-friendly swimming pool. Property condition felt a little dated and dining options were few and expensive, esp given the indoor option was very small and the hotel has no spirits licence (so only beer and wine available)

The hotel staff are very friendly and polite. However, the internet connection and service is far below standards for any hotel. It was intermittent at best and not available for few minutes at a time😡 The food was ok for a 5star hotel.

The food/buffet was very nice, very well managed by executive chef Manoj and his staff. They took great care of my kid who was being very picky. Housekeeping was great. It would be great if they can provide accommodation and good restrooms to drivers. Our driver could not sleep and had to drive 90 Kim’s to his home to sleep.

This is a small resort with about 30 rooms. its nice and quiet and does not have the hustle and bustle of a busy resort. laid back is the right word. very limited dining options with a limited menu. the hotel bar only serves beer and wine but there is a bar nearby where you can buy liquor. only a couple of rooms have lake view. a nice place for a couple of days or till you run out of options on the menu.

Beautifully landscaped property with a pond in the center. Afternoon complimentary tea and snacks were nice. Naimeen Fish for Ala Carte dinner was very good, vegetarian option was too small and overpriced. Staff service was not bad but sometimes had to call twice to get things done. - Didn’t expect lizards to be running around the room and bathrooms - Problematic WiFi to some extend compensated by an Internet card - Non-working kettle for boiling water - No US-ready plug points for iPhones and laptops

This is my second time at Taj Kumarakom. As expected the stay was very pleasant. Amazing staff and service. I would highly recommend. However, the food was way better the 1st time around (in 2017)
