"Location is superb, 100 ft to Chippenham bus station, and leads than 10 minutes bistro from the train station. Room is spacious, so is the bathroom, big and renovated. Courtyard is nice. There is a leisure pool at site too. Huge parking lot at back. The buffet breakfast offered was full English style and truly great. Staffs were super friendly. I stayed here one night to visit the near by Cotswold villages, like Castle Combe, which was only half an hour away. If the windows could be upgraded and...

"Hotel was clean and staff friendly. It was very hot and room was unbearable at times due to lack of air con. Fan was provided but was inadequate. Surprised to be charged service charge on afternoon tea and evening meal on top of normal charges without being informed in advance. This considering we received our tea but no cups and then the food but no plates."

"The setting is truly beautiful, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Parking was also wonderfully straightforward and great to have. My room on the first night was generally nice, though it did have a noticeable damp smell coming from the air conditioning. Overall, it's a lovely place with a few small areas that could use attention."

"A perfect room for visiting Bath. The room was very large well decorated and very comfortable. The host Richard was a Joy very attentive to any of our needs and full of interesting stories. Breakfast in the dining room was something special complete with a spectacular dumb waiter. We will certainly be back!"

"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

"The room was very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was very nice. We used the pool and jacuzzi which we found to be well maintained and as we would have wanted. The food was very good both at breakfast and dinner although the service at breakfast was disappointing as our coffee was forgotten. All in all a very pleasant stay (our two sons were playing in the PGA golf competition) and the course was beautiful."

"The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet.
