"This hotel was outstanding for its beauty and peacefulness. The grounds were spectacular. The restaurant was also fine dining, and we enjoyed two dinners with great service and fantastic food ( the salmon is an absolute must have!) One big problem for me was the terrible internet. I had meetings and important work to accomplish during my 3-night stay, but the in-room connection was impossibly unstable. I had to use the lobby for a stable connection. That was inconvenient, but at least it solved my problem."

"This was a great place to stay! A nice small set of well appointed efficiency type almost apartments. A lot of windows and spectacular views. In the mornings we walked to a nearby coffee farm for our morning coffee. The vibe and feel of the rooms, surroundings and owners is very laid back but on point. It has almost and Alpine/Country feel, but super clean and roomy. The owners were very accommodating and friendly, with a great story of how they built this using Jose Luis' vision, and a plan for adding a few more cabins/rooms. The location is a short drive up the mountain from town on a newly paved road. So, you have the secluded feeling surrounded by mountains, with town only a few minute drive. Boquete is great, too. This was our first time there and loved just exploring by car and foot. Go to Boquete and stay with Jared and Jose Luis."

"My friend and I arrived at Bambuda Castle after flying from Panama City and it was even more charming than pictured. The valley was doing electricity checks, so our room did not have electricity immediately. But we had no problem sitting on the porch reading and just taking in the views. The staff was very helpful and promised to move us to another room if power was not restored by the time we got back from our coffee tour, which it was and in plenty of time. The main building had a generator. Our room was very clean and we never felt like we were in a rowdy hostel. The mattresses did sag in the middle bit and it did help that we were not in the bunk area of the main building. We did do a free rum tasting our last night, we also had dinner, brunch and breakfast. So I can safely say that they have very good food. I wish we had spent more time in Boquete, I would absolutely come back to Bambuda Castle and next time stay in one of the hobbit hole rooms; I told a lot of people about those. The shuttle into town is very easy to use, make sure you use WhatsApp and take advantage of their activities even in the rainy off-season. There were still things to do, and a few people around."

"Beautiful honeymoon suite with fantastic mountain views. Some minor negatives: The floorboards were very creaky when walked on, and I’m not a heavy man. Since the suite is above the common area, it makes you feel self-conscious to walk around. It would’ve been nice to have had some changed sheets, and bed made in the room. Proprietors are very friendly, communicate well, and are polite, but not there on premises. There is no front desk service, and it was tricky navigating checking in, as I had poor Internet reception and couldn’t message them effectively to get instructions. But otherwise, a very lovely place with a with a bed-and-breakfast vibe (minus the breakfast)."
