"I would not recommend staying at the Rainbow Hotel in Victoria Falls. The experience started poorly when I discovered that the toilet in my room was only partially functional. While the staff eventually moved me to another room, they seemed reluctant to do so and acted as though accommodating a legitimate maintenance issue was an inconvenience. The basic amenities were also disappointing. The soap provided appeared to be heavily diluted with water, and the rooms lacked important security...

"What a great find! It is a gated home with nice grounds and a pool. The beds were very comfortable and came with mosquito netting which was nice but not needed. The breakfasts were nice out on the patio. The upstairs honor bar was a nice place to hang out. Housekeeping did an amazing job as they neatly folded my clothes and hung up my shirts. "I cannot say enough about this Lodge. If I can give it more than five stars I would come, especially because of the hostess Thandi. From the initial check-in to every day when I saw her, she took care of every meat I had. She made sure that I pre-ordered my meals. She took care of booking my chores and a dinner in the evening. "I enjoyed swimming in my private pool! The resort was amazing, clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I felt pressure to tip everyone, which was overwhelming as there are a lot of people helping you. There is a collective tip box but it doesn't include tipping the drivers and front office staff. In future I would let everyone know I will tip them on the last day and avoid the stress of having tip money with me all the time. "
