Hotel Dekat Jackson Park Driving Range

"Wow! What a great experience this was. I love how when I walked in the hotel I immediately saw smiling faces and a poster of President Obama in the corner. It was right on brand for my stay as I was visiting the Obama Presidential Center for the Grand Opening weekend. The breakfast was delicious and I love that we had a space to park at the hotel. This hotel was convenient for my commute in Hyde Park. I will be back. Thank you, staff for your service and kind hospitality!"

"The room was spotless. The hotel's in a terrific location and offers free parking. Keep in mind the the property is undergoing renovation and the hallways and bathrooms haven't been updated yet but the bathroom was clean and functional. One oddity with the room is that the charging ports on the headboard were tied to the lights switch just inside the door for the floor lamp. If the switch was in the off position, the charging ports didn't work. I figured out the USB port on the desk lamp...

"Order a room through Expedia (third party app) and when i arrived the motel staff told me they hadn’t received the reservation for my room and they were having complications with booking through third party apps. They didnt have any extra rooms and it was just all over a horrible experience!"

"Loved staying at this guest house. Me and my husband stayed for the weekend, the location was excellent, rooms were tidy, bed comfortable. First time ever trying a guest house situation and for a quick trip I would do it again. The deposit situation was a little unorthodox but we understand the reasoning why."

"My stay was only for a night; I wouldn't stay longer. The interior and exterior are not kept up. The bedding is questionable. I would consider bringing your own blanket and pillow or just covering the bed and pillows when lying on it. Their blanket is very thin. Wear socks or slippers; the floor is sticky, and bring an air freshener. Not sure what cleaning supplies are used, but the room needs airing out. It's a bad area or the surroundings are bad."

"I arrived in Chicago around 8 in the morning. I went straight to the hostel, as they were able to take my bags to store them before check in as I explored the city. If I needed something from my bags they didnt hesitate to let me access them before checking in. "It was an ok stay. Room was clean and the hotel was close to the sites/museums we wanted to see."

"Our stay at Sentral was overall good- the room was generously sized and we enjoyed having a fridge. The location was good and we felt safe. We did note that the overall vibe of the hotel was not super ‘vacationy’ as most of the people in the building are permanent residents and are not on vacation. The thermostat was set on some sort of schedule; we would set it at 68 degrees and when we woke up, it would be back to 74 degrees. This was uncomfortably hot and humid."

"The hotel is in a great location in Chicago. It is a massive big hotel. A bit outdated but room was clean and bed was very comfortable. For some reason it was not cleaned or serviced every day. Overall, had a good stay."
