"Overall, my stay at Hotel Isla del Sol in the Rosario Islands, Colombia was excellent. "The breathtaking beach and views blew me away! This is not a place for partying, more so for families and couples-maybe even a group of friends. This does not have a party scene at all. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to order so much because several reviews said the menu items were limited, we ordered calamari, robalo, pizza and seafood pasta. All dishes were filling and delicious!"

"This is a place where you can relax as its isolated from city and any noise. Staff are friendly and professional, water is warm and clean there is a platform you can jump in the water but there is no sandy beach. AC worked just fine, the local provided consistent quality food. "

"Wonderful stay! Staff was friendly and helpful, very clean room, great food, very laid back and relaxing. Went on 4 dives with Diving Planet while staying at the hotel. The dive master was excellent and the diving experience was organized and we felt very safe! Hopefully we will return one day! ❤️"

"I use this property to overnight when I was diving. The power is only on at night but the breeze and fan was adequate for getting us good night's sleep. The water is solid although I didn't trust it for drinking. The owners couldn't have been nicer and they included breakfast was good."

"The ac was good. They had power shut downs at least 2 times between 4 and 6 but we were enjoying the pool anyway. No big deal. The people were friendly and they even gave us free coffee. The scuba diving company on site was excellent Diving Planet. Make sure you go out at least once. They also allow lionfish hunting. I caught 21 with my friend. Highly recommend it for some R&R. "

"After booking, we repeatedly messaged the hotel for directions and only got a reply at 7:55am on check-in day, telling us the only boat left Cartagena at 8:15am. No way to make it. They then sent a contact for a 9am boat costing 90k + 30k port tax, though cheaper 70k options exist. The amenities and attention from the concierge, front desk, housekeepers, pool and beach, restaurant staff is beyond 5 stars… The only thing i would not consider 5 stars is the road that leads to the hotel, the gravel road is not suitable for everyone or any car, our taxi driver had a flat tire that had to change when he dropped us off, imagine if this happened in the middle of the road or at night! You can order food, drinks or snacks from anywhere on the hotel grounds at your convenience. Keep in mind, as part of the hotel concept experience, they don’t provide hot showers. "If you're visiting from far away like the United States or on a special trip, I'd recommend staying at the Blue Apple Beach Club instead. You don't want to cheap on the little stuff on a vacation. The room was advertisied as having Wifi, and it did not have Wifi or cell signal. Youll have to walk by the pool area to make calls. Also the bathroom has black mold around the sink, and the shower water temperature doesn't get warm or hot. Those basic comforts make a big difference on a vacation, so I...
