We stayed here for the Manning Camp which was very convenient. Location was great but I don’t think the place has been maintained in 20 years. The ac was either on or off that was the only settings. When it was one it worked great but it was like sleeping in a freezer. The hot water also worked great but would burn you if not careful. We had to get light bulbs from the office and change them our selves. It was ok for what guys need but I doubt my wife would have stayed here. It was kind like camping in an old broken down RV.

No lounge or restaurant like it said in the description.
This is the worst place i have ever been do not go to this hotel it is run down and nasty
This hotel should not be on hotels.com the photos are deceiving.the ad says they have a restaurant but it is shut down because the place is falling apart.i checked looked at the room and left i was refused a refund. I had to wait 40 minutes for someone to show up and check us in what a waste.
Room was filthy, had to ask for a cleaner room. No wifi even though it was advertised on their web site, breakfast was suppose to start at 6:30 am. Wasnt even ready by 7 am.
Towels in my room werent even clean. Disgusting i would not recommend this place.
I’ll never stay here again. Let’s see, I could smell the marijuana from the room next to me. They didn’t even have an actual comforter. They ran out of clean towels and had none to offer. When I actually got towels they were paper thin and sized for a toddler. The shower water went from blazing skin burning hot to ice cube cold about 19 times while showering. Let see, besides those things and the black model and all hours of the night street noise and overall trashy/nasty appearance and feel, yeah, I made do.
Once I arrived , I had to wait 30mins due to no staff being on the premises, a lady did come ..she got me a room but then that mfer was gross, just not an attractive little stay. I wouldn’t bother even if I was homeless .
Didn’t get to have breakfast due to no staff both days we stayed

Liked: Staff & service
The room itself was dated or I should say very dated. There was popcorn and popcorn kernels behind the single nightstand between two queen beds. The floor lamp in the room was broken. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. The refrigerator freezer part had a layer of ice inside as if it had been turned off and then turned back on again and the ice and melted and then Frozen at the bottom like a sheet of ice. The floor was extremely dirty we wore socks out of habit and the bottom of our socks were black from walking on the floor. We had trouble with our shower and when you flush the toilet for one to two minutes afterwards There Was An Extremely Loud high pitch whining noise. There were other patrons sitting out in patio chairs outside their room which led me to believe that maybe some of these individuals rent long term but it just kind of gave a very rundown vibe. Those were all the cons. The pros to this place is that the staff was very attentive and they were very courteous. They were willing to provide extra towels and there were no bed bugs or other visible rodents or creatures in the room. The beds were okay the blankets that they use are very thin and very cheap but they appeared clean and not stained or any sort of dirt or other gross stuff on them. The fixtures in the room did not work with the switches so we had to unplug and plug the lamp in when we needed it. It's not bad but it needs some tender loving care and the bed linens could stand to be upgraded
This place was not great. The ceiling in the room was actively leaking/dripping in multiple places, there was a large, weird rust stain on the sheets of one of the beds, and the floor was coated in some kind of oil or something that made it very slick. Overall, not clean or well maintained.
The only positive thing was that the staff were all extremely friendly and responsive.
Rita at front desk very kind and helpful 10/10 Hotel rated 8 online at hotels.com, VERY disappointed in condition of room. Would have expected MUCH more for an 8/10 rating! I would rate this hotel 3/10 (probably generous!) No hotel phone in room yet gives numbers to call. No bathroom sink plug. NO BATH TOWELS! (not even when asked for...said they were coming in any day...WHAT? Room had 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth. Washcloth was folded weirdly. Sticky floors. Leaking faucet handle on sink in bathroom. Crooked lamps. Floor lamp not plugged in. Severe lack of plugs, especially by beds. TV would not turn on. Painted very poorly throughout! Dirty doors and door casings. Only two mismatched hangers. Clock radio not plugged in and found under bed. Beds very poorly made. Pillow case put on inside out. No quilts, comforters or bedspreads on beds. Road noise. Hair on bathroom wals across from toilet. Electric plug plate above kitchenette sink, not even attached to wall. Exposed all wires when I removed cord to charge phone. Pennies and debris found side of microwave oven. Mirror above bathroom sink in disrepair. Overall room poorly organized. Overall room in VERY POOR condition and in need of updates/repairs. Only stayed the night, as it was late. We called hotels.com and they gave us credit. The hotel, as I remember, would not give us credit. Did not dare put feet on the filthy floor without shoes. Afraid to eat breakfact there! Changed to Holiday Inn Express. It was EXCELLENT!
Too many things wrong to right about. Just know that if you want to stay in a place that is dirty and in ill repair Carmel Inn is for you!

When we got to the room, there were no towels or washcloths nor soap or any other toiletries. The furniture was old and very worn. We were told breakfast would be from 6:30 - 9:30. Went to breakfast, there was no breakfast. The coffee pot in the room still had a used coffee filter in it with mold. We will not go back.

Carmel Inn is a lovely local place to stay if you don't want somewhere fancy. It definitely is "antique." The faucets are leaky and the floor is grimey, but you won't find better service or a cheaper room anywhere else in town.

Me and my daughter felt unsafe, our door wouldn't close right from the outside. But seem to close ok front inside.. ODD! but we ended up propping the chair in our room against the door. The bed was terrible, neither of us slept mattress was horrible, the pillow were flat and tiny. The carpet did not look clean and the tub looked dirty. Not a fan and won't stay here again.
