Richard is a right bloke, would loved to have stayed up talking to him at the bar but after walking the local fells went to relax in the brilliant room. The hosts put their heart & soul into making everything perfect. We would certainly return. "

Fantastic room and tea,coffee making facilities in the beautiful ensuite rooms with a great big bay window and comfortable king size bed and delicious cooked breakfast. "This is my 2nd time staying at the Station Lodge. You can't beat the price, the location and both times I've stayed I had nice large rooms. It's literally across the street from the train station, and as this is the last stop on the train you literally don't hear any sounds from the train. AND the trailhead for the Orett trail is also literally across the street. This trail spiders out to many other trails. There are a ton of restaurants, shops, pubs and the awesome grocery store with a cafe...

"My second visit to Glencree was just as wonderful as the first. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Our host really made us feel welcome and looked after us brilliantly. It's definitely a place I'll be returning to!"

"Lovely quiet courtyard room - 309 - would request again for the peaceful location. We have stayed in a lake view room in the past and would pick the courtyard over it, as it means you aren’t on the main road. All the staff are friendly and helpful, from check-in, to spa, to restaurant. "

"Even though this was only an overnight stay before travelling to a cottage in Keswick, it turned out to be our favourite place visited in a long time. The hotel is perfectly positioned on the main road only 4 minutes away from the town centre, and 15 minutes walk to Bowness. On approaching the check in desk, we were met by Karl, who signed us in and showed us to our rooms- we had requested to have the rooms together as our son is Autistic and we weren't disappointed xx the rooms themselves were...
