"Looks like they had the grand opening too soon. Rehab doesn’t seem complete. Lights and TV haphazardly hung on walls. Plugs not connected. There is not a single hook for a towel or travel kit in bathroom. AC is still an original wall unit and is incredibly loud. Overall, an average hotel at best."

"Very close to casinos. Only 2 rooms avail in 1st floor due to renovations. No USB port avail in any room. You must buy the breakfast. Toilet paper holder hard to reach."

"Our stay at Tru by Hilton Lake Charles was such a pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Great parking space and convenient. It made our anniversary getaway even more comfortable and enjoyable while we soaked in that beautiful bayou view. I definitely recommend this location and don’t always go by negative reviews, pray about it and see for yourself."

"Everything in property was good, except the shower area, water faucet was not properly installed or was too old, soonest turn water on, we weren't able to stop it, water keep running, called the office to let them know about the problems, we have to use my daughter room shower, to finished on time for check out,"

"Ac was excellent and I slept like a baby!! Pool room is a little slippery and hold water instead of draining in the drain, so definitely need to watch walking in there. Other than that, it was great. I forgot my pillow. I called them and they put it in storage for me"

"We stayed in the handicap room. The shower/bath was a marvel of plumbing complexity but the shower didn't work. There was a lever to direct the water either to the tub or the shower and once up to the shower there was another lever to direct the water to either a wand or the fixed shower head. The first lever, the one for either tub or shower would allow water into the tub but when switched to the shower setting the water flow just stopped.
