"Great modern hotel in the center of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was minimal hot water in the shower, otherwise everything was perfect."

"We booked a one BR Apartment for a family of 4 including 2 kids (5 yo). The apartment and the bathroom was spacious and fully equipped. The sofa bed in the living room converted to a pull out bed (unfortunately it is the most uncomfortable bed for 2). The location of the hotel is excellent, with 2 minutes walk to the famous Arbat Street. There are plenty of supermarkets around, with a huge Magnum store just across the road in Lumier building. "

"Room was very freshly equipped and very cozy and spacious. Simple but nice hotel - the drawback was that the reception was small with only one desk. The location is very convenient and closer to the airport - the Yandex Go taxi ride at night from the airport was only 1,900 kzt (USD3.5)."

"Delightful experience at Kazzhol. The room is spacious and even comes with 2 beautiful bathrooms, a terrace and our own treadmill! The breakfast buffet is also abundant with wide variety of good quality food with plenty of time and nice seatings to eat. Location is convenient with money exchange, shops, restaurants, parks, sightseeing places within walking distance. "The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...
