"We are a family of 4 (kids 8 and 11) staying in a room set up as a family room - double bed and the kids sharing a sofa bed. The room was snug but really good. Each room is 3 old cells knocked into 1, with the bathroom taking up 1/3 or of the room. The bathroom was really good and enormous. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. "Fabulous staff, spa was top notch, the terraces were amazing to sit and chill in comfy chairs, barman Alex is a credit to the hotel, very knowledgeable and happy to chat, all staff were so friendly, short walk down to a gorgeous beach and the food was awesome, hubby said it’s the best steak he’s tasted!! "The hotel was very well situated on a pedestrianised street. WiFi was very good. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice. The staff are helpful. The only thing I thought missing from the room was a dressing table with a mirror & seat, but otherwise plenty of storage."

"Very good value for money, nice bar area, great location next to the beach, unfortunately heating broke down but that was beyond their control, they should have offered a free drink or similar. Would stay again, I was in an en-suite room which was good value, I was on my own but room could sleep 3. Would stay again "

"Stayed for 6 nights with a dog and had a lovely time. Room was lovely and very comfortable bed. They even included water bowl, ball, poo bags and multiple treats for our 4 legged friend. Proximity to Port Isaac was excellent, easy walking distance. Nice to use as a base for exploring Cornwall. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend."

"Lovely hotel. We stayed in a room in the building next to the hotel. Had a lovely evening meal one night. Nice breakfast but the only niggle was that they did run out of a couple of items ar our last breakfast"

"The hotel is in the perfect spot, right in the harbour. The room was massive and well equipped with a lovely view. The building is obviously extremely old which has its limitations on decor etc but we had an amazing time there. Would recommend."
