"We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Blue Lagoon. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Did not realize that the town is an abandoned ghost town with most of the town fenced off and minimal food choices open during our stay. Bed was an old spring mattress that was uncomfortable."

"I was most pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We stayed here the night before an early flight, and walked to and from the terminal in a crazy burst of wind. The hotel was a welcome haven in the wild weather. Once there, we enjoyed the cozy room, a sweet happy hour, and satisfying meal. We were fortunately that the restaurant was not over run. We had a chicken burger and veggie burger with fries and found them both quite good. After a quick night's sleep, we were off! "

"I had an amazing experience. I accidentally booked the wrong day, but the man at the front desk was extremely helpful and let me stay in an open room. This was at midnight, and his attitude was great. He also gave me some information about the island, how to get around, and which sites to see. He also shuttled us to the airport the next morning for our scheduled car rental pick up. Amazing amazing staff. The room itself was spacious and warm with a sink in the room. Everything was very clean...

"Decor of the room is sleek, new design, no aircond, need to open up window for cold air to come in. The problems are in between walls no soundproof. I could hear my upstairs running jumping after 11pm. My next wall tv noise, other side wall talkg. At 1am +, i was awaken by noises chasing northern lights outside my windows."

"The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking a large meal for four. There is a supermarket within a 20 minute drive and a few restaurants. The lodge itself was lovely and warm and ideal for a quiet evening trying to see the northern lights. It was perfect for our last two nights in Iceland as it's 30 mins from the Blue Lagoon and 13 minutes to the airport. Will definitely look to stay here on our next trip to Iceland."

"Was clean with multiple bathrooms/showers. Nice kitchen with two espresso machines and three air fryers but no stove top. Drafty window but big screen tv in room. They are closing for renovation."
