"The person working there is on his own. The outside needs cleaning and painting desperately. There's dirt, dead leaves, garbage and cigarette butts lying around outside. The place would be so much better with a good clean. The inside wasn't overly clean either; not as bad as the outside. Also there was no one there when we arrived and it took 2 hours for someone to show up. The bed wasn't made properly; no top sheet or pillow cases. They were given when requested. "Welcoming hosts with a nice full breakfast. The property is old and quaint but not within easy access to restaurants. "

"The stay at the Captain at the bay is awesome especially the bath tub is just beside the bed. After a long day of travel on the great ocean road, it is a best place to relax. The breakfast was nice and the hotel staff is friendly."

"Not as nice as the price and description led us to believe. Breakfast was okay, good croissant cut otherwise a bit ordinary. The room was fresh and clean but lacked in storage space so if one was staying more than a day, there was no drawer space for one to unpack. Poor water pressure in the shower. Hosts are very pleasant/amenable! Would not stay there again for the price. "
