Amazing property, wonderful service. All the staff were so nice and very helpful. We loved every minute of our stay. They went the extra mile from the time we arrived to the time we left. The area is great for surf lessons, e-foiling, kite foiling. We also had perfect weather!!

Great stay, quiet and comfortable

We appreciated the decor very much design and natural (wood). High attention to eco sustainability (no plastic, soap dispensers, etc). Good choice at breakfast. Last, the location of the hotel is perfect to enjoy the best and isolated part of El Medano beach and only a 20min walk to the even bigger Playa de la Tejita (must see!)

Fabulous location

Very clean .lovely sheltered pool area. not too busy. We didn't spend much time at the pool,as there's so much to do locally especially if you enjoy coastal walks. All the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Great location in front of the ocean with great views. No way to park and unload luggage in front of the hotel and NO signs to the front of the hotel if you are driving up. Decent hotel but some of the furniture is saggy old and faded .

The personal was very friendly and helpful, the Hito Restaurant was wonderful. The breakfast could be better, the fried eggs looks like they had an accident and very greasy. The way they fried the ham were made without love.

I’ve stayed at Playa Sur several times and continue to enjoy it - the high wall surrounding the pool shelters it from the high winds for which it is famous in surfing communities and allows sunbathing- the mix of mature guests and young windsurfers works well and the restaurant is superb- brekky best I’ve had in a *** hotel

Great hotel in lovely resort

We had great stay. From the minute we arrived…the desk staff were very welcoming and friendly…to the minute we left, where the desk staff ordered us a taxi. Our room was on the third floor and was one of the older style. Not a problem…bed make up service and bathroom clean everyday. Impressed by the speed of response to our broken toilet seat…informed in morning was fixed by the time we returned early afternoon. The bed itself was very comfortable but neither my husband or I liked the long shaped pillow. The pool area was lovely, never a problem getting a lounger. Breakfast was great, good and plentiful selection…excellent coffee (Lavazza). We really enjoyed the chilled vibe of the resort and loved the hotel. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

When we got there were put in a room like a box nofin like what we asked or paid for. We asked for sea view and got a glimpse of the sea mostly mountaintop. After complaining about it put in a slightly bigger room but views still terrible . Will not be staying here again as for disabled person the dining is on the lower floor and no lift to get there. Only stairs.

This hotel is okay. Not great, just okay. While it is on the beach with a pool, the hotel, itself, is not great. The room was pretty basic. No extras like coffee, shampoo, hand lotion. And there is no AC so our 3rd floor room was very warm. Also, we had booked a superior room with ocean view. We had to request a room change when the first room they assigned us had no ocean view. So, overall, not great.

I had deal of trouble finding the hotel because you and Google are using the wrong name! It is not hotel player sir Tenerife it is hotel player surf! It is incorrectly shown on Google maps which caused me a great deal of difficulty. And stress. I am 74 years old and do not need to go through that kind of anguish in the evening in a foreign country.

Bad bad time

I was very disappointed in my stay here, everything was fine until I got to my room. I was given a not renovated room when I went back downstairs I was told that the double room I booked means it’s not renovated. Where in heck does it say that when I book a double room it means not a renovated room. It doesn’t say anywhere also that renovations were being done to the hotel. You can’t trick customers into believing they are getting a certain room then give them the complete opposite and tell them it’s their fault. There’s no way I would have known the difference between a double room and a superior unless specified on the website. Furthermore I packed my bags and moved to another hotel because there was no more rooms available. I offered to pay the extra 50€ to upgrade my room, but even then I was upset because I was the one who got played. I’m still waiting for my refund since the lady at the counter said she couldn’t do it on the spot. This wouldn’t be a big deal if you tell your customers before hand that certain rooms are not renovated. I attached my room photos and please look at the website for the pictures y’all have posted

Hôtel très bien situé. Nous avions chambre supérieure avec vue sur la baie. Petit déjeuner buffet très très complet . Fruits,différents type de pain , céréales, plats chauds, fromage , viande froide, légumes etc… Stationnement inclus qui est un gris plus . Les chambres très confortables, belle literie . Un super séjour .
