"We had a wonderful time staying at the Caruso, A Belmond Hotel in Ravello. We were greeted by friendly and warmhearted staffs. We got free upgrade to a suite with balcony viewing of the sea and surrounded with purple wisterias. The suite was spacious and prepared the welcoming champagne and fresh fruits. The hotel had stunning views every corner and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the complementary sunset boating tour due to the weather. "

"Staff were extremely friendly. Welcoming to our toddler and provided high quality service with a smile. Harsh and the staff at the restaurant were so attentative. The woman in the front who helps with bookings secured a last minute reservation at a rooftop directly in front of the duomo. Stunning views and meal. "Fantastic sweeping Gulf of Naples view (Vesuvius, Capri, Naples, steep hills, …) from every part of the hotel! Comfortable in every way with a great breakfast and good restaurant. Be aware, however, that the hotel is up a sweep winding hill (nearly impossible to walk), so you need the hotel shuttle or a taxi (expect 20E to Sorrento) to get out. The hotel is a great place for a day or two of rest. The front desk staff was cheerful, friendly, and well-informed. We plan to return."

"Things to note about the property, which are probably common to most of the hotels in Positano: 1) Parking is expensive 2) There are a lot of steps everywhere. Do not go unless you are prepared for them. 3) They also will charge to carry your bags to and from your rooms. We were quoted 10 euros, but I negotiated down to 5. Otherwise, everything was great. "
