"We experienced an authentic Korean stay at Andong Gurume Resort staying in the Chilgok Gotaek structure from the 1830's. The bathroom was modern whilst retaining the integrity of the rest of the property. The surrounds where also historic and an adventure exploring the grounds and other buildings. We had the traditional breakfast included in our stay, however the resort also has a cafe option with delicious pastries, coffee and other options. The staff welcomed us and helped us out with our transport as we wanted to explore some of teh local sights. Overall, an excellent experience and highly recommend. "

"The receptionist was excellent, very helpful, going out of her way to provide with service and information at the hotel and the city. She was calling for taxi service and making sure we were departing with the correct taxi driver and making sure driver understood our destination !! It made you feel she really care about hotel guest "

"The property doesn't look like much but this was one of the best value places we found in Korea during our 2 week stay there. It was spotleesly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The owner let us check in early and even carried our heavy cases up down the stairs. The breakfast was simple but good . You can't beat the price or the service. STAY HERE.. "

"We stayed at the family room and it was great. Plenty of space for 4 people, clean and with a yard for the kids to play in front of the room. You need a car to move around, but other than that it is perfect for an authentic Korean rural experience. It would be useful to receive more instructions to check-in... we didn't know what to do at our arrival."

"This hotel is a bit outside of the center of action for this tourist part of Andong, but its proximity to transportation for the areas outside of the city and even within the city are excellent. The rooms are clean, spacious and have good natural light. Although it is clear the hotel is a bit run down, it is still perfectly serviceable and provides a convenient, comfortable place to stay when exploring Andong and its surroundings. The owner created helpful maps to make travel and restaurant selection in the area easier. He is very helpful. I was quite pleased to stay in this hotel during my visit to the city."

"I realize I am a minority but I didn't like my stay at the guesthouse. It has nothing to do with the staff, everyone was super nice and helpful. However, our room (203) was below par for a budget stay. The bathroom had so much hair, I doubted it had been properly cleaned. So it made me doubt for the rest of the room. 2 mattresses on the floor served as bed. If very hard mattress with feeling every coil spring is your thing, you'll love it. Personally, I do not and woke up with a painful back every morning. On the night that I managed to sleep that is. This being said, the guesthouse location is amazing, walking distance to lots of dining and other entertainment. Buses going further are very close also. The bar adjoining the guesthouse is nice and lively. I really don't like to leave a negative review as people work hard to maintain their business, but this one was a fail for me. "
