I had the pleasure of being involved with the Save the Ormeau Bottle Tree association a few years ago and was taken to a special spot to see this magnificent fellow. It's a 60+ foot Ormeau Bottle Tree, one of only about 150 examples in existence of various sizes from small saplings to this grandfather of them all. They are in danger of extinction from the Quarries which surround its habitat. This unique species of Bottle Tree is the only one native to this small area of South East Queensland and is only found in a 6 square kilometre area. It along with some 20 different flora & fauna species have also been discovered unique to this small area, there's something special about the hills around this small northern Gold Coast town.

The room was ok, feels a bit tired and missing some toiletries items, also the Rooms felt a bit noisy from other rooms. The restaurant relish was great food was nice and fresh. The restaurant at the top had nice view and atmosphere lots of food as a buffet but quality was average.
