"Stayed 1 night while visiting family in the area. Very clean bedroom & bathroom, comfortable bed & appreciated the quality hairdryer & straighteners
Not a fan of the boiling water on tap in the corridor. Would much prefer a kettle in the room & the privacy to make a hot drink at any time of day or night. Didn't appreciate having to get dressed at 3am to go out into the corridor for boiling water to make a drink 😕"
"A fabulous hotel and well worth a stay! We made a last minute booking as a stop off on the motorway - it's about a mile from the M5 but you'd never know it. A beautiful old building and great amenities mean you don't either need or want to go elsewhere. A choice of a fine dining restaurant or the bistro-style Atrium meets all needs. Had it been better weather when we were there we would have loved sitting out on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the garden. I'm very very fussy about hotels and my only complaints were that our room was so far from reception and that the shower tray had a trace of limescale in it but I really am picking at small things as overall this hotel is excellent and great value for money."
"It was a fairly okay stay, but no better than that. We arrived late and left quite early, so we didn't get a chance to use the facilities. The room was reasonably clean although the basin had a crack in it. The shower curtain seemed to be annoyingly clingy. The shower gel bottle pump didn't work. But overall it was ok. Biggest gripe was that the beds were very firm and I really didn't sleep that well.
Breakfast was good, but at £15 a head, it wasn't good value.
Charging £8 for parking was a little cheeky given there was no other option available.
To be honest, I would probably stay at the Premier Inn down the road if I had to stay in the area again."
"As I am not happy on the phone found having to book for parking very difficult had to phone direct to the parking company
As the reception would not except cash"
