"Could use covering over bathroom windows especially since it’s daylight all the time. Window covering in main area needs maintenance."

"Great hostel, perfect location, very clean with plenty of bathrooms (which we were concerned about after reading other reviews). Staffless check-in worked fine. Oh, and excellent free coffee! Only complaint is that the pod was too warm, with no way to control the temperature apart from a fairly ineffective fan. "

"The separated toilet/sink and shower areas on opposite sides of the room with the bed in the middle was not an ideal layout. Having to essentially walk in a U shape to go from the shower to the sink area was annoying. There was no fan so had to keep the windows open during showers. The shower area had very minimal storage space so that was a disappointing and hard to maneuver. There was also only a shower curtain to keep the water at bay but that barely does anything so it was a super wet area....

"It was our first time to Akureyri and we chose Hotel Centrum based on recommendations, reviews and value. We were very pleased with the room, central location in town and the helpful staff. We stayed in 411 and it had a lovely balcony overlooking the shops and restaurants on Hafnarstræti. Easy, free parking after 4pm in the public lot just behind the hotel. Great modern bathroom with a walk-in shower, great Internet connectivity, fridge in the room, comfortable chairs and bed, and blackout...

"This is an incredible place to stay. It was problem the best lodge we've ever been to. It has stunning views across the fjord which can be enjoyed from the hot tub. It's really well equipped and was always a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Thank you!"

"Very spacious and clean with a lot of amenities. It had tons of character, but the floors squeak a bit and some doors cannot close without locking. Nothing unexpected for a historical property. Very nice stay!"

"Place is ok but a few annoying things. Finding the place was not so easy. Also unexpectedly had stairs leading up to the apartment. The bed was not comfortable and pretty noisy. Blinds really don’t block out enough light. And there was no shampoo or shower wash. Pretty basic miss. "

"Sauberes, modernes Zimmer. Toller Blick auf Akureyri. In wenigen Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in der Stadt + die grandiose Waldlagune liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Frühstück war absolut ausreichend. Wir wurden nett empfangen und nett verabschiedet- haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt."

"Loved this hotel! The hotel sent over the check in instructions days ahead of time, really easy to follow and to get into our room. Big beautiful room with mini fridge and coffee in the room . Was really easy to park right by our patio to load and unload the car."
