"A beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Hal Ghaxaq Church square. Peaceful and relaxing but a great base for visiting the whole of Malta. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and maintained by a great team of friendly staff. The buffet style breakfast is delicious and fresh. Lovely pool & rooftop bar area. "The staff kindly changed our room to one with a better view - overlooking the pool and scenery beyond. The location of the hotel is great - near bus stop and harbour waterfront with lots of restaurant options. The food at the Reef was very good. Staff was most helpful. "Great waterside location , with super pool, mini beach and large rooms. However, as others mention, the property is dated- the bathroom especially needed a refurb. The hotel had a 1980s feel of an establishment that was once grand but just didn’t move with the times. That said, the staff are helpful, the pool is a plus point to cool down in after a day of sight seeing and there is a free shuttle bus to take you up the hill into town ."

"My experience in this hotel is amazing, everything is perfect from the place itself to the staff. The pool and garden are beautiful. However, the breakfast foods didn’t suit me, maybe because I’m asian. And I did experience issue when doing the check out, I did try call to the reception multiple times to ask if someone could come to help me with the luggage but no calls were replied, so I ask cleaners ( 2 cleaners, each one I waited for 30 minutes) outside to check this out for me, I was waiting...

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Yes the entrance is located inside the shopping centre but it is very easy to find. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and keen to be of assistance. Our room was spacious and came with a Jacuzzi hot tub on the balcony which was an enjoyable distraction. The hotel is just a short stroll from San Gorg and Independence squares and the Cittadella.
