"A great property, but it’s dated. The facade is in the midst of a facelift as are the stores and hopefully the rooms will follow. The room was spotless, but dated. The garden and pool area were spectacular. There was a live band and then music playing in the evening which added to the ambience. Most staff spoke fluent English, but others couldn’t understand basic questions. "

Location of hotel was perfect for us as there are lots of restaurants and cafes with plenty shops within walking distance. Safe area and no one hassling you to buy things. Easy to get a taxi to museums and ancient city sites within Cairo. "

"We loved staying at this hotel. In case you don't know, this used to be a house for a famous Egyptian singer (Om Kolthoom) from the 60s and got converted into a hotel. So, the whole hotel is themed around this singer (photos, decor, signage on doors, etc.). I loved that because I love this singer.
