"Positives: - comfortable bed and bedding - great shower - large plush bath towels - great location Negatives: - the room feels very confining with windows that don't open and look onto another building just a few feet away - ground floor rooms get noise from the kitchen until about 11pm (though this was only on Friday and Saturday night, Sunday night was very quiet - there is an emergency light above the door in the room that stays on all night and throws quite a bit of light"

"Excellent location and good value for the price. Very walkable to the main attractions of the city, Sol, Plaza Mayor, Buen Retiro etc, and also close to many eateries. Getting to MAD airport on public transit was a breathe - some 8 minutes walk to Sol station and a train ride with a transfer. We had a private room, but other than the provided towels, basically no in-room amenities. It was a bit strange that two private rooms shared one common balcony, which seemingly meant that the occupants of the other room could have entered our room (?) but we may have missed something. While we appreciated the few outlets we had, it was on the top bunk and there wasn't a convenient way for the lower bunk sleeper to share the outlets. Rooms were clean, but the cleanliness of the common area (kitchen, bathrooms) I suppose is somewhat at the grace of fellow travelers. How the communal fridge was shared showed some respect from fellow travelers, though, which speaks well about the clientele. Staff explained everything to us upfront (e.g bag storage, although we didn't utilize it). Again, for the location and the value for the price, I would stay again."

"The staff were very dry and unhelpful. They didn't want to engage in conversation or even say hello. Many times we would pass by employees and they would avoid eye contact and not say a word. The pool is tiny - not more than 5 people can be in there comfortably and the rooms were okay but nothing special. The best part of the hotel is the rooftop but you don't have to stay in the hotel to go to the rooftop. Don't reccomend."

"El hotel tiene muy buena ubicacion, todos los empleados te dan un gran servicio, el cuarto me parecio un poco diferente a las fotos, como mas cuarto universitario o para ir con amigas que para estar en pareja. Todo esta limpio, nuevo, moderno solo esperaba otro tipo de habitacion, fuera de ahi todo estuvo excelente es cuestion de el tipo de viaje y lo que busques. Ese fue nuestro opinion particular."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Only You Hotel Atocha! A great location, just steps away from the Atocha metro station, and a short walk to Retiro Park. The staff was very helpful and accommodating throughout our visit and leading up to it as well - our flight was scheduled to arrive after the check in window and they were very helpful with this. The room was great, with air conditioning and free wifi, a TV, nice bathroom, vanity, and a balcony. Be aware that there is construction going on outside the hotel right now, and the walls are thin, but this didn't bother us too much. We really enjoyed our visit and would visit again next time we're in Madrid!"
