"We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end. "

"One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Very good location in Nuwara Eliya. From check-in to check-out our stay was seamless.We are three friends who stayed for one night. In the morning we came down for a walk to find some food, but the staff greeted us saying they'd been waiting for us for breakfast, as it was included! "This is a lovely venue and a beautiful town. We had two nights here. The first was in a large family room in the basement, which was a little bit musty. But it was spacious and I appreciated that. The next night we moved upstairs to two large rooms with en suite. They were much more comfortable and lovely views. The breakfast was very nice and generous. The staff were very helpful."

"The room was spacious , clean & comfortable & we were very well cared for by Kapil who served us a delicious soup on arrival . We chose to walk to Jetwing St Andrews for breakfast & were treated to probably the best breakfast buffet we’ve ever had ! "

"Clean room, nice new hotel at a good price. Not near any other dining options without a taxi or tuktuk ride except for a nearby coffee place that was decent. Can walk from there down to the lake, community sports grounds and nearby polo grounds. The horses are feeding on the grass at the sports grounds and are being walked by their riders/grooms. Can walk around the lake."

"The building looks lovely and the grounds are beautiful BUT the room wasn’t great , the bathroom had an old shower curtain and the shower was above the bath. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was small and dark. it was my birthday and there was no mention of this even though my husband had given advanced information. "The hotel was modern, clean, room spacious and decorated very nicely. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel very central and can walk to main sights. Only issue we had was being locked in at night - glass front doors tied together with a bike chain lock! Although security were outside, I feel this was a concern if there was a fire and felt uncomfortable with this. Otherwise would recommend"
