Excellent hospitality by the staff and the hotel itself is clean and nice. Food from the in-house restaurant was pretty tasty and had a nice variety. Would definitely recommend this!

Beautiful cottage feel in Nuverliya. Our family was so happy we decided to stay there. Staffs were excellent. There have library room with activity room for the teen to kids.

Value for money

Its more like a small boutique hotel. The facilities are limited and location is a bit inside. Its like more of a 3 star and the view is average but the staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is good but not great and the choice is limited. Its pocket friendly. Its fine for tourists with a medium bedget

Mind the step

Old colonial hotel, very decent. Staff were very nice. Restaurant not so good in taste. Carpets in the room needs change. No Airconditioned , because it’s cold you need heater. I found management didn’t do anything about the steps that just one step bit higher and front of my eyes 3 people tripped, including my wife. Not may people don’t understand why they tripped, but closer inspection just one step 2 cm higher than other. Not sure what health and safety in SriLanka doing about this.

charming hotel in midst of tea plantations

we had a lovely time in Galway Heights. We really liked the location in a small rural road close to a hindu temple and small village and in the tea plantations. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff very attentive. The only grievance was the lack of elevator. We would definitely recommend this.

Nice hotel even if lacking character

We had a pleasant stay here. The rooms are comfortable, but there’s nothing special about the hotel itself. The location is very handy for a walk through Galway Park and it’s out of the bustle of town. Restaurant is fine. The surrounding area is a bit hilly if you want to walk around.

Had more than enough night staff and they were helpful, but next day morning in the reception there was a young staff member who was managing the reception on his own could not even understand what I said, how to reply or speak English and how to print the closing bill to say there is nothing outstanding because I paid the dinner money when we had the meal and rest of the bill was already paid up front. This staff member running round in circle not knowing what to do and wasted almost more than 45 minutes of our time and made our day VERY, VERY MISERABLE... This should not be acceptable for a four star Hotel and I hope you consider paying for the inconvenience caused by your staff!!!

Our stay at the Galway Heights Hotel may not have happened as I had booked the wrong night for accommodation! Dilshan and the team went beyond expectations and found 2 rooms for our travelling group (the last 2!)...was kind enough to show us the room and see if it met our expectations and had them both freshened up so that we could be comfortable for the night. The team at this hotel bent over backwards to help us, the room was big, comfortable and clean and the team in the restaurant were just as nice (the dining room is a work of art). The only thing to be wary of is that the rooms let in a fair bit of noise, so don't forget to pack your ear plugs!

Clean, friendly staff and the hotel is located away from busy area. Well maintained and pleasant to stay. House keeping was very good and the service was prompt. Very good breakfast including both continental and traditional Sri Lankan food. Only suggestion is the hotel should have a fan on hot days and minor facilities like hair dryer,

Charming small hotel with personal touch. Well looked after by Arull in the bar! Steps into the hotel despite a disabled access filter on the search but they made a temporary ramp within a couple of hours.

Heartfelt Service

We were greeted warmly throughout the check in process. Our party of three booked two separate standard rooms but were "upgraded" to one big suite. Although we enjoyed the really spacious and luxurious suite, I found this a bit odd.

Great staff...

Our room smelled bad, and no A/C, poor or no Wifi signal. Bad signal on the phone, you needed to hang out of the window to get 3G/4G coverage. Bleech stains on our laundry. Breakfast buffe a bit too pricy due to what it offers, food from the restaurant was tasty. Vegetarian Byriani was great. Staff was excellent and very helpful, 5 out of 5.

A Modern Hotel with warm and caring Staff

We had a very pleasant stay at the Galway Heights hotel in Nuwara Eliya. We were doing a tour of the Island so it was a very welcome stopover after leaving Gaille earlier that day. The roads are not very good in trying to get there, so you need to give yourself plenty of time. The hotel itself is a very modern building, and recently new, so it is a very nice place to stay. We were looked after so well by all the staff, and got a warm welcome, a comfy seat, and a refreshing drink, while a member of staff checked us in, which all happened so quickly that we were shown to our room in no time at all. Such fantastic service really means so much to tired guests who just want to get sorted, and get to their rooms, therefore we thank sincerely all the wonderful staff of the Galway Heights Hotel. For anyone interested in dining at this hotel, I have to say that the food is delicious, and well worth a try. We had such a wonderful young man look after us in the restaurant for all our meals. His name was Arul, and a more pleasant and friendly young man you could not find, we are so indebted to him for making our stay at the Galway Heights such a memorable one, and therefore because of his warm welcome and great attention to detail while we were there, would highly recommend this lovely Hotel and its caring staff in all departments to family and friends or anyone wishing to travel to that lovely area of Sri Lanka. Many Thanks to all from two very satisfied Irish Guests.
