"Elevator not working, had to walk up to 2nd fl, Air Conditioner not working, maintenance guy came tried to fix and tells me its getting cold, which was not true, front desk calls the room and told me he will give me a different rom, so we walk down get the new key and he gave us a room that was already occupied, so we had to go back down and get another jey for a different room, how does a front desk worker not know a room is occupied, this reservation was very frustrating."

This hotel is also being used as a residence for homeless individuals and families waiting for housing. We were on the fifth floor, and directly across from our room was a family of six. "Sauberes Hotel in Brooklyn. Subway ca. 10 Minuten weg, Expressbus nach Manhatten hält direkt vor der Türe. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Take Away in nächster Nähe. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, alles sauber und recht neu. Frühstück für amerikanische Verhältnisse reichlich. Sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, wenn einem eine längere Fahrt in die Stadt nicht stört."

"nice old motel, clean, quiet, has all well maintained basics, but only the basics. A comfortable bed, a dresser with drawers, night stands and lamps. Small bath with tub. Fast wifi. Ample parking. Nice view. Near JFK. That's all. No desk and chair for work. No coffee maker forhot drinking water. No closet to hang my coat andshirts..No shuttle. Taxi or Uber to or from JFKcost $25-30. A grocery store nearby. A very good Asian restaurant next door. Italian restaurants walking distance."

"The staff at reception are friendly and helpful in all aspects during all my interactions with them. They mentioned my Marriott bonvoy membership which I had forgotten, provided detailed information on dining and airport shuttle services. Welcome relief after a 19 hour flight! Breakfast staff were less friendly though"

"My biggest issue with the hotel was at no fault of the staff. It is located in East New York Brooklyn, one of the top five crime areas of NYC. I had no issues, but made it a point to return to the room by sundown. It was very close to the subway, so that was very convenient and helped me feel a little safer. "This was my third time staying at the Marriott JFK Hotel in New York, and unfortunately this stay was disappointing compared to my previous visits. I was assigned a room on the 11th floor, and throughout my stay there was a strong food odor coming into the room. The smell seemed to be coming from the hotel’s kitchen or ventilation system and was noticeable inside the room for extended periods of time. "Great experience overall. 24-hour check in was helpful. Their parking lot was full when I arrived, but they were still able to accommodate parking. Wasn't a deal-breaker for me, but the hotel is right by a train line so that's just something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper"
