"This property does not, The 21st century, provide AC in rooms. The rooms feature tall windows facing the sun and you can guess the rest. Too hot already in May for comfort. And, while the windows are openable - ZERO screens! If cool rooms are a preferred feature - best avoid this place in the spring summer and early fall."

Breakfast was absolutely amazing with many choices. Tea menu alone was extraordinary . All staff were very polite and very helpful. Great place to stay."

"James Bay is a wonderful place to stay in downtown Victoria. You wouldn’t know you were in a bustling city because it is so quiet. There’s an occasional clap clap of a passing horse drawn carriage which adds to its charm. The pub below offers delicious meals at a reasonable price. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful (Roy, Hede, thank you!!). The artwork, carpet, furniture, etc add to the charming ambiance. "Besoin de nettoyer les tapis… nous avons changé de chambre due à la malpropreté, la deuxième était pareil…les oreillers trop épaisses, lit fait avec drap plat et non contour ce n’est pas confortable. Cartier avec beaucoup d’itinérants. Je n’ai pas du tout aimé."
