"There was no A/C in the room so it was too warm at night. The breakfast was meager. There was no refrigerator or microwave and the electric kettle leaked and caused an electrical problem. Fire alarm was going off one night for no particular reason and no one came to tell us what to do. On the plus side, the cleaning staff were very nice and did a good job of keeping the rooms clean. The value for the money was there if you want a low cost, clean room and a snack for breakfast. Location was ok....

It was very basic and the TV was very small for the size of the room. We only ended up eating in the restaurant on 1 day, as we did not feel that there was a lot of choice and due to the size of the room it was very noisy and you could not have a conversation with whoever you were with. "I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting."

"We had a 2 night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Faultless service from the staff in all areas and particularly the restaurant. Spa area and all 3 pools are spotless, just enough loungers, more than enough towels and shade - and on a hot day a beautiful place to chill out after exploring Bath. Bar lounge menus and main restaurant menu are good value, food is excellent."

Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...
