"I'm sure there might be friendlier hotels in the world, but I don't see how. This was, by far, the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Everyone was helpful and exceedingly polite. The rooms were great and comfortable. They had AC! Breakfast was fantastic. Communication was great. All reasons to give the hotel 5 stars. But then there's the location. Just steps away from central Rothenburg and less than a minute's walk the the market square. 5 stars ( but only because I can't give it more). "

"My daughter and I were very grateful for our time at Pension Elke. After an extremely challenging travel day, it was dead of night yet we were welcomed kindly. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed fresh air from open windows, the toll of the tower bell, plenty of natural light, and a garden view.
