"Disappointing one night stop over. Its more of a business traveller, conference & private events venue than a country house hotel. Suite 15 is directly opposite the kitchen extractor fan which is on from before 5.00am until the kitchen closes at night & can easily be heard in the room. The room only had one bedside table & lamp, the glazed entrance is fitted with opaque glass & is the only window so there is no view. If you could see out you would be looking at the car park. "I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada."

"Pros: Surrounded by a landscaped golf course. Bath not just a shower. Toiletries in room which included conditioner which isn't always provided. Complementary water and sparkling water Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Cons: No secondary lock on the inside of the door. Hallways smell quite bad and look very tired. Noise from other rooms or hallway overnight was quite easy to hear. Not sure if the walls are thin but it was enough to wake me up. A bit of black mould in the grouting in...
