"At first I was a little surprised to find no staff at the desk. But as I sent an email, a staff showed up in front of my room. He together with other female staff members were very friendly. Thanks for their nice service. "

"What a great medium sized hotel, centered on horses but great for anyone, very near a great hotsprings hike. Excellent food. comfy lobby with coffee, tea, cookies. Very friendly staff"

"Oh my gosh,dont know what to say, this place is incredible. The rooms...or rather, the bubbles are perfect. We went in the summer where its daylight ALWAYS but cant wait to come back when there is night time."

"We enjoyed our stay at Grimsborgor. They have hot tubs you can use in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was nice too. They have a bar, but it is part of the restaurant and you are served by staff when they are not delivering food to tables. This may change depending on the number of guest staying at the hotel."

"Fantastic location nestled amid the geothermal terrain. Nice facilities. Stella was friendly, helpful and welcoming to us when we arrived. Great breakfast. "

"The host is a fantastic person. We were kind of lost, instead of the guesthouse we were at the apartments and fortunately we met the host at the apartments. She took us to the guesthouse - driving alongside us, provided us with food items and her daughter-in-law provided with list of place to see. Rooms were great. Best part was the cleanliness. We were provided with house slippers. There were 2 dogs that were friendly and greeted the visitors..fantastic and loved it a lot. Thanks!"

"Cottage is located close to commercial/industrial area and a golf course. Nice view. Stayed there for one night, 4 persons (3 adults and a teenager), which worked quite well. There's a grocery story, pharmacy, manned gas station and Thai restaurant/take out place within a couple of kilometers. Clean, new, well-kept cottage, but not super large - it worked really well for a one night stay and could have worked for a night or two more, but not for a longer stay. There's no onsite reception or...

"Askot Cottages are beyond phenomenal! Our best stay in Iceland. The cottage design is thoughtful and purposeful. Every little detail adds to the comfort and experience for the guest. The instructions are presented in a beautifully designed booklet that was clear and complete. All the amenities were stocked and high quality. I wish every place I stayed could be this perfect! "Hotel Vos is about 13 minutes away from Route 1 in a small village. We loved how it seemed isolated and was so quiet! The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had the wonderful heated floors we loved in Iceland. The TV has Netflix and we enjoyed using the hot tub as well. Breakfast buffet was great with a good selection. We recommend this place!"

"Lovely remote farm outside of Selfoss. Close to Golden Circle. We caught the Northern lights. Helena was friendly and welcoming. We missed her 6pm goat tour but hope to come back again. "
