"Breakfast was disappointing. We usually book here bc it’s decent. The milk was spoiled, the pancake machine worked but they wouldn’t fill with batter. Biscuits and eggs all burnt. Hard boiled eggs were all opened and in a bowl. Usually packaged. Their new coffee machines are amazing but these ones offered extremely watered down coffee and the creamers were all crusty and just unclean coffee bar area. The same mess on the counter from check in to check out."

"This was really just a regular hotel room in an old fashioned building. The breakfast was what you would expect in a hotel - nothing special. The carpets are a bit old and had that old hotel smell. The rooms were not very sound proof. It would be fine if your main reason was to be in Half Moon Bay, and you aren’t looking for a particularly special or pampered experience."

"I stayed at this hotel for one night and noticed multiple bedbug bites the next morning after checking out. I reported the issue right away. The hotel’s response was to say they could not handle any refund directly and that I needed to go through Expedia. Expedia then contacted the hotel on my behalf, but after additional waiting, the hotel still declined to refund the room charge. This was extremely disappointing. "The staffs in cafe discriminate me by brain injury and Asian hate"

"This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...

"Visited for a long weekend with my S.O. in February 2026. This place was very nice. Our room had a fireplace and nice seating in front of the TV. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful served up hot in the room. B&B was right across the street from the ocean and a block away from a very nice restaurant which we dined at twice. It is walking distance to all downtown amenities and additional restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend and stay again."

"Holiday Inn isn't my go to spot when it Redwood city; however, I'm not going to lie... I was surprised at how nice it was. The rooms were nice, I love that they use dove products for all your grooming needs. I didn't like the positioning of the shower head, i tried to adjust it, but it just didn't work for me. It could have just been user error. lol Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would stay again! I skipped on the breakfast only because I knew I was eating elsewhere. "

"Staying at Menlo Park Inn was a great experience for me and my daughter! We were in town for an appointment at Stanford Children's Hospital, which was a quick 10 minute drives to Menlo Park Inn. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Our room was very clean and the amenities were great. I really appreciated the fridge, microwave, Nespresso maker, and very cozy robes! We also greatly appreciated the complimentary breakfast in the morning. We will definitely stay here again!"
