"Excellent resort situated in an incredible rainforest setting. We are a family of four (kids aged 6 and 8) and everything about our stay at The Lost Iguana was better than expected. The resort is close to all the key attractions in the area, yet tucked away in a tranquil rainforest. We saw countless birds and heard howler monkeys right off our balcony. At night, you can see various types of frogs including red eye tree frogs around the property. This is a a real gem of a resort and one that my family and I cannot wait to come back k to visit. "

"Stunning views, large and comfortable property was helpful with the family. Well equipped kitchen - we cooked with ease. Only downside was the smell of the drains in the second bathroom - it was really bad - to the point where we shut off that room altogether. Didn’t meet any staff but key instructions were fine. "Don't hesitate,this place is amazing. We stayed in the 3 bed/3bath villa with a private pool. The pool was heated and so warm that we stayed in it for hours. The sunset view can't be beat better than any ocean view we've had. There were many different birds all day long. The beds were comfortable and there was so much room. The master suite was giant with a double sink and jacuzzi. The other two bedrooms and baths were off the kitchen and living room area and private. Don't hesitate--we wished we'd stayed here a week. Oh and breakfast was good, but go to the restaurant next door for a wonderful dinner. It doesn't look like it from the outside, but it has a wonderful view of the canopy from their outside eating area and the food was so good. "

"We had a very nice visit the 4 days we stayed. We booked 3 large rooms with Expedia with much better pricing than directly from hotel. The place is charming and peaceful. The cleaning is not consistent and they don’t have enough white towels as I was told to provide everyday. The front desk Diego and Francisco can improve customer service skills. Francisco specially was not very pleasant. I also tried to booked with him for August for an upcoming visit with family and parents but he told me he could not offer rooms or pricing because it was 2 months in advanced. I could easily book on Expedia. Francisco needs some customer service skills. "

"We really loved the restaurant food options for dinner and the included breakfast was also very good. We loved the wait staff (and the receptionist!). Everyone was very accommodating and pleasant. They have seating outside overlooking the beautiful view and have a few swings there, as well, that our teenage girls used non-stop while we were there. Really beautiful quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the more tourist filled La fortuna close by. We borrowed a TV and watched a movie together a couple of nights and enjoyed the hot tub and pool, as well! We really enjoyed our stay. "

"The food and drink are amazing! It is a beautiful setting over looking the lake. They have their own farm on sight and we were able to visit the animals--including baby pigs and horse. Highly recommend!"
