"I have to say I waa really surprised at how nice this place was. The only issue for me (being a bigger bloke) was i couldn't fit in the shower as it only has a s.mall opening but I was able to get around ."

"The hotel in general was very good. Just personally, we had a few issues Our main issue is that the hotel. It's so big with long hallways and lots of steps, considering we have a child in a Pram and lots of luggage it was so exhausting to carry everything from the car park to walk across to the hotel. And then find your room. Its hell of a long walk with steps. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the top floor with loads of steps, and the windows barely opened. So we complained and changed...

"Great location. Ideal location for Southwell racecourse. 15 minute leisurely stroll to the racecourse from the accommodation. Our overnight stay was great from start to finish - easy check in, free car parking, clean tidy and comfortable room. Bathroom, including shower, was clean and modern. The sink was on the small side. Good value for money."

"This hotel is a typical English pub hotel best suited to those with a car. We had requested a ground floor room but were allocated an upstairs room on arrival. However, this was changed by the receptionist and the room we got was fine. It was a good size and looked out on the bar courtyard, fortunately quiet as it was cold and wet outside. The bathroom was fine and bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were good."

"Our room was not as big as expected from the photos and we were overlooking a flat roof with extractor fans continuously on - not so great when we had to have the windows open in the heat and could not get the ac to work. However an extremely helpful receptionist (Jay) gave us a different room a little bit further away which was a little bit bigger and slightly less noisy (thanks Jay 🙂). "The lift was broken so the service lift was the only option. However the landing areas were 'behind the scenes' and poor quality. I did not much care for the long black hairs stuck to the walls of the shower from a previous guest. Clearly not a good cleaning regime. The shower has my pet hate. The shower controls are behind the door. You can't use them without being inside it and it is too small to avoid getting the inevitable blast of cold water that is living in the pipes before whatever...
