"Very friendly staff"

"Great location with several bars & restaurants within a short walk, parking just a short walk away from 5pm to 9am. Room was clean & bathroom spacious a good large shower cubical. Breakfast was freshly cooked & very nice to start the day with. When back in area will be on my list to stay again. "

"Room was perfect, spacious and warm. It’s an old building so it had little steps to watch out for. So much variety for breakfast - cooked to order hot food, pastries, yoghurts etc. Some evenings it was a bit noisy outside but not for long and it is an Inn / pub. Parked 4pm-10am for free outside the cathedral. Highly recommend staying here. "

"We arrived after a night flight from Kos. Property was easy to find thanks to the email from our hosts. The accommodation was warm and welcoming, everything we needed for a one night stay. Lovely comfy bed, tea tray with biscuits. Soft towels and mini toiletries in the bathroom. Great communications from the owners via email. Would definitely stay again! "

"Easy to find and had plenty of parking when I arrived. Communication for check in and check out was very good. The ensuite room was great - very clean, nice temperature, and very well-appointed. The lodge does not offer breakfast or dining but is just a 5 minute walk into the city centre. Overall it was great value - can highly recommend and would return. "

"Great location. Everywhere is very walkable. Wide range of shops and restaurants. The Gatehouse is unique and charming. The hotel staff are very nice and accommodating. Great value for money. Beds comfortable. Room very clean. Overall a great experience and the city of Wells is a must-see"

"What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home."
