We recently enjoyed a 3-night weekend stay at Harvey Guesthouse with a group of five girls. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and housekeeping came by daily to offer fresh towels and tidy up — even though we didn’t need it every day, it was nice to have the option.
The location is convenient, just 15–20 minutes from the airport, and in a quiet area with shops nearby. It’s also not too far from Temple Bar, making it easy to get into the heart of the city.
Due to a delayed flight, we arrived after the official check-in time, but one of the owners kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated.
There were a couple of minor downsides: the shower pressure could have been better, and we’d recommend bringing your own hairdryer as the one provided wasn’t very powerful. The bathrooms could also benefit from a bit of modernisation.
Breakfast is available daily from 8:00–10:00 AM for €10. It includes a selection of cereals, toast with spreads, tea, coffee, ham, cheese, and fried eggs. You just need to write down how many people want it and roughly what time. We didn’t know about this until speaking to one of the owners the day after we arrived, so a heads-up at check-in would’ve been helpful.
Overall, we had a quiet, pleasant stay in a well-located guesthouse that was a great base for exploring Dublin.
